This week the City of Norwich League Pairs Championship heats were played. At the heat hosted by First Bus the winners were the Horsford Gold pairing of Christine Warnes and Mick Dale. Another Horsford Gold pair, Barbara and Ray Ayres, won the Jarrolds heat. Richard Perkins and Derek Sheldrake of Thorpe Marriott won the Horsford Gold heat. At Windows the winners were Vic Webster and Chris Woodhouse of Horsford Heroes. The two best runners-up who qualified were Alan Cheal and Stephen Davies of Windows and Martin Douglas and Leslie Webber of British Rail. In the first leg of their City Shield match Thorpe Marriott beat British Rail 8-0 on points and 61-33 on shots.
