The ESMBA Open Fours was played at Solihull IBC on Saturday and Bob Carter’s Morgan Warnes & Gary Best, playing with Danny Hogben & Jody Frampton, won the event beating A Williams, C Grocott, C Shakeshaft & C Williams by 11-7 in the final. In the semi-finals they won by 12-5 against S Stanton, J Knight, B Riley & E Thomas. Wymondham’s AJ Brown & Jack Pye, playing with R Knight and A Smith, reached the semi-finals before losing 10-4 to C Williams rink. Gary Best’s winning rink were presented with the top prize of £400 and an invitation to the World’s Selection Weekend.
