Harling Yellow into Norwich Cup second round

Norwich Cup

The revamped Norwich Cup knock-out competition saw Harling Yellow secure safe passage into the next round with a solid 40-19 home win against Hingham. They fielded a strong team comprising of John Davis, George Hume, Lorretta Smith, Glen Hume, Jill Hayman, Val Easter Jean Deathridge & Sid Burton and nominated their wild card ends as 1, 2 & 30. This proved to be a good move as they established an early 8-0 lead after just two ends. After 13 ends Harling led 19-5 which had become a huge 31-7 lead after 20 ends. Hingham's use of their three wildcards on ends 3, 8 and 19 failed as the home side won all three ends. In the second round Harling Yellow will entertain the winners of the Hevingham v Bradwell tie which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 31st October.
