Norwich Cup draw gives Wortwell home tie against Shropham

The draw for the first round of the revamped Norwich Cup, a straight knock-out competition, was made at the Norfolk Over 60s day at Hingham. First out of the bag were Harling Yellow who were drawn at home to local rivals Hingham. Harling Blue also received a home tie, and amazingly also against another local rival Connaught. Coastal League side Bradwell face a trip to Bure League side Hevingham while Wortwell of the Waveney League were drawn at home to Breckland League side Shropham. Holders Wymondham, along with Thetford, Taverham and Halvergate receive a bye into the second round. The play-by date for all first round ties is 17th November.

Harling Yellow v Hingham

Harling Blue v Connaught

Hevingham v Bradwell

Wortwell v Shropham

The draw for the second round was also made with cup holders Wymondham drawn away to City League side Taverham.

SECOND ROUND TIES (play-by 2-2-24)

Harling Yellow or Hingham v Hevingham or Bradwell

Wortwell or Shropham v Harling Blue or Connaught.
