The Norfolk heat of the Over 55 Pairs qualifier was played at Hingham with nine pairs taking part. The final produced a repeat of the last one held in 2020 with Simon Willies and John Turner of East Tuddenham facing Tony Ottewell and Mike Smail of Forncett. The Forncett pair led 7-3 after six ends but four shots to the East Tuddenham pairing levelled the game on the next end. Going into the final end Turner and Willies led 11-8 and held on to win 11-10 with the Forncett pair’s two shots leaving them just one short of forcing an extra end. The third place play-off saw Robert Howlett of Bob Carter and Sheila Hook of Saxlingham Nethergate beat Will Townsend and Graham Tweed of Hingham by 10-9. The Hingham pair won the last three ends but finished just one shot adrift of taking the game into an extra end. Turner and Willies reached the final with a heavy 16-4 semi-final win against Howlett and Hook, the other semi-final saw Ottewell and Smail beat Townsend and Tweed 15-9.
