Best at it again

Gary Best of Bob Carter skipped fellow team mate Jamie Forster and Halvergate star David Lamb to the county triples title beating last years runners up Jack Marshall of Connaught, Morgan Warnes of Horsford BC and Jack Pye of Wymondham by a slender 7-6 margin in the final. This is now Jamie Forster's third triples title in a row having now played with five different players in that time. End three proved to be the end that damaged last years runners up hopes conceding four shots and although they had scored on five of the nine ends it was not enough in the end. The third fourth play off was won by Bob Carter's Nigel Willard and Melvin Woods playing with John Turner of East Tuddenham as they beat Thorpe Marriott's Jenny and Peter Walker and John Jarvis by 11-4. The semi finals saw Gary Best beat John Jarvis 12-3 while Jack Pye eased to a 13-4 win with an end to spare against Melvin Woods. The quarter final line ups saw Gary Best beat Robbie Lamb 21-2, Jack Pye edging out Jon Sparham on an exta end, Melvin Woods also winning on an extra end against Keith Cooke while John Jarvis beat Rob Cranston 8-7 winning the last three ends.
