Jack Pye names team for I.C.C Final

Norfolk Manager Jack Pye has named his team for the Inter-County Championship Final clash against Cheshire on Sunday 19th April at Melton Mowbray. Norfolk will be defending the title they captured last year under Pye and claim the chance to create history by defending the British Isles Top Team title later in the year in Wales. This golden generation of Norfolk players have swept all before them in the I.C.C this season just as they did last season. Cheshire, who once dominated the I.C.C winning the title eight years in a row between 2006 and 2013, know they will face a huge task to stop the defending champions. Jack is keen to let bowlers know that the team would be delighted to have support on the day at Melton Mowbray for anyone willing to make the trip to Leicestershire and made the following observations about Norfolk’s next big day.

“Following on from the success of the Top Team in Belfast, there’s a real sense of belief and momentum within the squad as we head into the ICC Final on the 19th. We’re excited for the challenge and fully focused on the opportunity to bring the title back to Norfolk and make it back-to-back championships. Cheshire are a quality side with a number of dangerous players, so we’re expecting a fiercely competitive contest with plenty of games going right down to the wire. It’s exactly the kind of occasion you want to be part of—and we’d love to see plenty of supporters there on the day backing the team.”
