A presentation was made to Pam Chapman as she retires from the position of Secretary of the Afternoon Friendly League. The League was the brainchild of Eddie Bebee and Pam has been Secretary since its inception in 2016.
The League was formed so that those new to bowls, or those who didn’t play in evening leagues, could compete and gain experience in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. As its name suggests, games are played in the afternoon; perfect for those who are not keen on driving in the dark. There is a Summer League (May to August) and a Winter League (October to April).
