In the top of the table clash in the SNL Hempnall gave young Norfolk Premier regular Lewis Cranston his first run out in the skip’s position away to second placed Horsford. In a nerveless performance he inspired his triple to the game's biggest win, a thumping 21-5 victory against the vastly experienced Vic Webster who found the young man just too hot to handle on the night. Hempnall’s 8-2 win was their ninth straight win and with their lead over Horsford now 21 points there looks only one winner in this league. Diss won 8-2 at home to Connaught with skips Keith Buck, Terry Newby & Russell Davidson all winning their games.
