Coronation welcomes Norfolk Chairman

On Thursday afternoon Coronation SMBC welcomed Norfolk Chairman Selwyn Goldsmith and Over 60’s Organiser Teresa Goldsmith to their club for one of their regular club afternoons. Coronation’s Secretary Peter Grant had invited the Chairman to the club to give them advice and bowling tips. Coronation are a long established Norfolk club that does not play in any leagues but their fourteen members enjoy two sessions of bowls each week at the Coronation Hall in the pretty village of Great Moulton. After speaking to club members, and watching their bowls session, he told them he was quite impressed by their bowling and told them that if they did play in a league he was sure they would more than compete. He also offered advice on bowling practice and foot faulting among other things. Peter Grant showed the Chairman their automatic mat roller for which they had received a grant to purchase. Coronation do play the odd friendly and only the previous evening had visited South Norfolk League side Saxlingham Nethergate for a match. Teresa Goldsmith brought information for Coronation about the fortnightly Norfolk Over 60’s sessions at Hingham and told members they would be welcome to visit and join in if they wished at any time.
