The ESMBA Open Triples, held in Dorset at the weekend, saw an all Norfolk triple of Jason Woods, Gary Best & Chris Willies make it to the final where they lost 11-3 against Adam Easthope, Nathan Caines & Josh Hale. Hale’s triple will therefore represent England in the World Championships in March. Another Norfolk bowler, Simon Willies, was playing with Michael Dorsey & Danny Hogben and made it through to the semi-final stage where they lost 9-5 to Chris Willies’ triple in a father and son battle. Jack Pye of Wymondham played with Ed Sawbridge & Steve McAlister and reached the quarter-finals where they were beaten 9-2 by Josh Hale’s triple.
