Hempnall move top of tens

Hempnall made it five straight wins to move top of the Tens League after a hard fought match at Kirby Bedon finished in a three shot win for the visitors. Kerry Greenacre, Jon Sparham & Rob Cranston gave Hempnall a good start beating Jill Watson, Jan Hewitt & Phil Watson 18-11. Kirby’s Teresa & Selwyn Goldsmith held off a late challenge by Owen Cranston & Neil Davidson to secure an 11-9 win in the pairs leaving the visitors with a five shot lead at the break. Billie Barker, Joan Costello & Melvyn Barker boosted Kirby’s hopes with a 17-10 win against Paul Baker’s triple but the Hempnall pairing of Debbie Sparham & Jack Pye clinched a 2-0 points win beating Carol & John Aggas 15-10.
