Derek Ryder's triple on a high at Hingham

In the Summer Afternoon League East Harling earned a 4-4 draw at Hingham. Gwen Messant, Keith Messant & Derek Ryder scored a 13-9 win for Harling in the first half and with Carol Newman coming into the triple in the second half they won 18-10. Will Townsend’s triple won twice for Hingham recording 14-7 & 17-3 wins. NCSMBA Summer League action has seen both Bob Carter & Wymondham reel off four successive 8-0 wins in Division One so they sit top of the table on 32 points apiece. Brian Saunders, John Jeffery & Chris Mann of Wymondham stormed to a 28-4 win against Peter Lock’s triple at Forncett while Steve Easter, Simon Warnes & Chris Mann led the way for Wymondham at Watton with a 26-3 win. Forncett’s visit to Wymondham also ended in an 8-0 defeat with Wymondham’s Mary Fisher, John Jeffery & Chris Mann beating Linda Preece’s triple 28-7. Bob Carter’s Nigel Willard, Jamie Forster & Melvin Woods won by 33-5 against Tony Ottewell’s triple at Forncett. Halvergate have only dropped one point in their opening two fixtures and are second while Forncett and Watton occupy the bottom two places with one win each from seven games. First Bus are just one point behind Division Two leaders Diss Green and will be pleased with an 8-0 away win at Thorpe Marriott where Elaine Oatway, Sue Fox & David Sharpe beat George Clarke’s triple 20-11.  In the Summer Cup Halvergate won by 16-0 on aggregate against Watton in the Preliminary Round and face First Bus in the Quarter-Finals.
