Easy ride for Norfolk at East Hanningfield

A Norfolk Squad team visited East Hanningfield for a friendly against Essex “B”. The match proved to be rather one-sided as the Norfolk team romped to a 36-4 away win despite playing on tricky mats which should have given the home side some advantage. Maximum points were also earned in the fours as Jill Hayman, Janet Pinchen, Trevor Pinchen & David Blundell won 15-3 & 11-9 and Elaine Oatway, Jenny Walker, Trish Taylor & Colin Coman won 11-7 & 13-10. The pairs earned eight points out of ten with Teresa & Selwyn Goldsmith winning 22-3 & 15-12 while Angela Bond & Steve Easter added a 13-10 win. The triples did likewise with Billie Barker, Steve Easter & Melvyn Barker winning their first game 13-5 and then with Angela Bond playing in place of Easter won their second game 24-11.
