ESMBA put back AGM

The following email has been sent to all County contacts to confirm that the ESMBA AGM, originally scheduled to be held on the 18th July 2020, will be delayed due to Government guidelines.

"The ESMBA Constitution refers to the AGM being held in July or August each year. However, due to the current Government Covid 19 guidelines relating to social distancing and gatherings means the AGM cannot be held to fall in line with its Constitution. At present there is no indication from the Government when they will lift these restrictions. The Accounts have been completed and inspected by our Accountants. All Officers reports have been prepared and can be presented at any time. Until such time an AGM can be held the Management Committee using the emergency powers in the Constitution have agreed to carry on in their present positions, apart from our President, George Clarke, who sadly passed away recently. It is planned to call an AGM at the earliest possible time when it becomes allowable and practical to do so in line with Government guidelines. We must follow Government guidelines to ensure the safety of our membership."

Yours sincerely, Barry Hedges ESMBA Chairman
