Now that all short mat bowls in Norfolk has come to an end for the foreseeable future the NCSMBA hopes that all its playing members stay safe during these difficult times that we are now in. We would ask all our NCSMBA registered clubs, and registered bowlers, to abide by the advice regarding social distancing measures outlined by the government. We would not expect any of our registered clubs, or recognised leagues, to hold any club nights, meetings or gatherings etc while this emergency continues. We would also confirm that a decision has been made to cancel this year’s Memorial Pairs which was scheduled to take place at Hingham Sports & Social Club on Sunday 7th June 2020. We would remind members that all Norfolk Over 60’s squad days and matches are cancelled until further notice. It has already been announced that the Norfolk County Trials, which were set for Sunday 17th May, have also been cancelled and that the NCSMBA Summer League has been cancelled for 2020. The NCSMBA AGM is scheduled to take place on Sunday 28th June at North Wymondham but this will be reviewed in late May and is subject to cancellation if, as seems likely, the situation has not improved.
