A poorly attended Over 55’s National Qualifier saw Tony Ottewell & Mike Smail of Forncett beat John Turner & Simon Willies of East Tuddenham 10-7. Smail’s pair started well leading 4-0 after two ends but the East Tuddenham pair hit back to level the game at 6-6 after six ends but the Forncett pair dug deep to beat their experienced opponents 10-7. In the third place play-off Jenny Walker of Thorpe Marriott and Sheila Bragg of Connaught beat Jean & Melvin Woods of Bob Carter 10-9. The semi-finals saw Ottewell & Smail beat the Woods pairing 8-3 and Turner & Willies beat Walker & Bragg by 10-6.
