The Sammy Lambert Memorial Triples, launched last year in memory of the popular Essex short mat bowler who did so much for the sport, is set to be played on 7th July at Falcon IBC in Chelmsford. Last years event raised over £1,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care and this year’s proceeds will be donated to the Bloodwise Charity. Neil Davidson of Hempnall, Keith Cooke of Halvergate & Wymondham’s Chris Mann reached the final of last year’s event where they lost to Essex triple Dave Chittock, Mark Chittock & Tony Ealham. This year the winners will receive £450 with a runners-up prize of £150. There is a maximum entry of 64 triples and the entry fee is £30 per triple.
