Three way battle for SNL title

This season’s exciting three horse race for the SNL title looks as if it will go to the wire. Hempnall, who have dominated this league year after year after Bob Carter withdrew, currently sit in third place but have one game in hand over second placed Diss and two games in hand over Horsford who top the table. Horsford’s 10-0 away win at Shropham has given them a seven point lead over Diss. Christine Warnes, Mick Dale & Les Chadwick led the way for Horsford with a 24-4 win while Diss won 8-2 at home to Saxlingham Nethergate. Other games saw Harling win 10-0 at home to Shropham, with Rosie Beckford, Chris Jones & Mike Tarrant winning 26-5, and Saxlingham winning 8-2 at home to Hingham with Margaret Beamish, Don Linford & Geoff Payne winning 16-6. Pictured is Hempnall's Paul Baker who this season face a battle to keep hold of the title.
