The top of the table clash in the Waveney League saw defending champions Broome beat Wortwell 6-3 making them firm favourites to win the league title again. Only Carlton could possibly stop Broome now but that looks very unlikely as Carlton would need at least seventeen points from their last two games while Broome would need to lose their final match heavily. Other games saw Kessingland beat Haddiscoe 6.5 – 2.5 while Ilketshall won 7-2 at home to Bradwell.
