Two wins for Connaught "A"

Two wins for Connaught “A” in the Breckland League! Bob Oatway’s triple starred with a decisive 25-11 win as Connaught won by 8-2 at home to second placed Carleton Rode and Lee Fallows’ triple won 19-11 in a 6-4 home win against Banham. Harling Unicorns romped to a 10-0 away win at Banham with Mike Tarrent’s triple winning 32-8. Hingham's Wendy Tweed, Colin Harris & Keith Thomas won 21-9 as Hingham ran out 9-1 winners at home to Connaught “B”. SNL action saw Horsford win 10-0 at Hingham with Christine Warnes, Mick Dale & Les Chadwick’s 17-14 win the biggest of the night as four games could have gone either way. Hempnall won 6-4 at home to Horsford with Owen Cranston winning 22-10. In the Tens League Connaught won 2-0 at home to Hevingham with only three points separating the two teams. Hevingham’s Pat Williamson & former Connaught player Steve Hall collected the evening’s biggest win of 17-4 but Connaught won the other three games to clinch the home win. Thorpe Marriott won 7-3 at Hevingham in the Bure League after a second half comeback led by Sylvia Turner, Peter Walker & George Clarke with a 21-9 win.
