A home defeat for Hempnall in the SNL is a rare occurrence indeed so Diss will be elated at winning 8-2 and getting the better of Hempnall in three of the four games. Ann Biddulph, Angela Bond & Graham Atter opened for Diss with a 13-8 win against Neil Davidson’s triple while Peggy Bertram, Bill Francis & Trish Taylor made it a perfect first half for the visitors beating Owen Cranston’s triple 14-7. After the break Keith Buck, Tony Oram & Graham Mobbs beat Gerald Chilvers’ triple 13-8 for the visitors third win. Hempnall’s only win was a 20-15 result for Mike Greenacre, Bernie Cudden & Paul Baker against Terry Newby’s triple. The last home match that Hempnall lost in the SNL was in the 2015/16 season and it was Diss on that occasion as well with an identical 8-2 score-line. The result takes Diss into second place in the table just four points behind Connaught but Diss have a game in hand over the leaders.
