Colin Stevenson, Joan Cann & Roger Parker won 29-7 and Kerry Greenacre, David Blundell & Owen Cranston won 25-9 as Hempnall took a big first half lead against Saxlingham Nethergate in their SNL local derby. The visitors failed to stem the flow of shots after the break as Gerald Chilver’s triple won 21-11 and Paul Baker’s triple won 18-10 to earn the defending champions a 10-0 maximum home win. Diss beat East Harling 8-2 with Jill Davidson, Morris Taylor & Trish Taylor leading the way with a 23-6 win. Len Deathridge’s triple collected the visitor’s only win by 12-10. In the Norwich Cup Wymondham swept to victory at First Bus recording a 14-2 points win. All four triples games were won by Wymondham with Brian Saunders, Melvyn Barker & Chris Mann winning by 10-4 against Lianne Mills’ triple and 5-3 against Colin Coman. Steve Easter, Laura Hawksworth & Mark Linsdell won by 12-5 against Coman and by 21-3 against Mills. Jack Marshall & Jon Sparham won both their pairs games by 8-4 & 12-7 while Pat Saunders & Debbie Sparham won their first game by 5-4. The only First Bus win of the night came in the last game when Betty Cox & Bob Oatway beat Pat Saunders & Debbie Sparham 11-6. Due to the illness of several players Hingham conceded their Norwich Cup tie away to Bradwell. In the Tens League Bob Carter won 4-0 at home to Connaught with Jean Woods, Morgan Warnes & Jason Woods romping to a 31-6 win. In the Waveney League Kessingland are top after beating Carlton 6-3 while second placed Bradwell lost 6-3 at home to Broome. Haddiscoe remain bottom after a 7-2 home defeat against Wortwell. Ilketshall beat Earsham to record their first win of the winter season. Hevingham won 10-0 at home to Horsford BC in the Bure League with Pat Williamson, Pat Hall & Steve Hall winning 32-6 and Betty Cox, John Wade & Maurice Kemp weighing in with a 27-5 win.  owen cranston rs20
