Halvergate win Bure League in style

Halvergate have won the Bure League title for the fifth time in six years after a tremendous performance saw them win 10-0 away to defending champions East Tuddenham. The home side knew that to keep their remote chance of retaining the title alive they had to win their last two matches by maximum points as well as making up a shot deficit of 117 shots on Halvergate and that was never on the cards. Halvergate swept to victory winning all four games in style against a strong East Tuddenham team. Ray Lamb, Robbie Lamb & Josh Baxter opened with a 17-9 win against Elaine Willies, Rob Howlett & Simon Willies while Donna Lamb, Jamie Forster & Jason Woods beat Albert Palgrave, Gerald Potter & Chris Mann 15-11. Keith Baker, Nigel Willard & Keith Cooke then produced the win of the night racing to a fantastic 29-3 win against Gilly Amos, Robin Amos & Melvin Woods while Jackie Smith, Ryan Fox & David Lamb completed the rout with a 17-11 win against Chrissie Turner, John Turner & Gary Best.
