Horsford derby match won by Heroes

Despite Horsford Heroes having long moved to the nearby village of St Faiths their Bure League games against Horsford BC are still regarded as local derbies. Horsford BC found their visitors too lively to handle on this occasion and with Heroes’ skips Roger Frank, John Aggas & Mark Tuttle all winning the result was a deserved 8-2 win for Horsford Heroes. Breckland League action saw Connaught “A” win 8-2 at home to Harling Unicorns with Bill Adcock, Jack Marshall & Lee Fallows winning 19-5 and Bob Oatway’s triple winning 20-7. Valerie Hambling, Peggy Bertram & Will Hoggan won 29-3 for Banham in their 8-2 home win against Hingham. Andy Coleman, Bryan Preece & Tony Ottewell led the way for Forncett at Shropham with a 27-4 win as Forncett won 8-2. In the City of Norwich League a 12-2 away win at Costessey moved Horsford BC twenty-one points clear at the top. Second placed Horsford Heroes won 12-2 at British Rail and 10-4 at home to Costessey. It was a great week for Deaf Sports who won 14-0 at home to Framingham Earl and 12-2 at First Bus. Jarrolds won 12-2 at home to Framingham Earl while County Council beat First Bus 14-0. Sprowston won by 12-2 at home to British Rail while Framingham Earl beat Taverham 12-2.
