Summer league round up

There were dramatic results in both summer league divisions this season as Watton managed an incredible turnaround in division two after losing their first three match's and only collecting two points they looked destined to be scrapping to keep off the bottom of the table. But then a series of excellent results notably a 6-2 win away at Horsford Heroes and 8-0 wins against Windows away and at home which saw them clinch the second promotion place by one point. Winners Forncett were consistantly better than the rest collecting points in every match with just two defeats with one of them being a slender 5-3 defeat at home to Windows. Their home form saw them drop just eight points from forty which was the difference. In division one an opening 4-4 draw for Wymondham at Kirby already damaged their hopes of regaining the title they won last season. Bob Carter's home form was once again proving to be formidable with only Halvergate and Deaf Sports managed to take one point of them untill they played Wymondham in their last match where a 5-3 win was enough to see them clinch the division by one point much to the dissapointment of Wymondham who had beaten Bob Carter 8-0 at home earlier in the season. Thorpe Marriott and Diss Green struggled in the top flight this season which saw see them relegated.
