Connaught went to Wymondham defending a 43-36 shot lead in the quarter-finals of the Breckland Five Pairs. Connaught then did a fine job of containing Wymondham on their own mats until Billie Barker & Jack Pye ran riot to power the home side into the semi-finals with a massive 27-0 win against Mike Parsons & Graham Etteridge. In the first session Connaught’s David Aldous & Paul McDonald claimed a major scalp beating Hayley Osborne & Chris Mann 9-6 while Di Quadling & Mike Minshull kept their game tight against Simon Warnes & Debs Sparham by going down by just 8-5. Another Wymondham win followed when Jack Marshall & AJ Brown beat Derek Liles & Malcolm Southgate 11-6 but Billie Barker & Jack Pye sealed the win for Wymondham with their huge victory. David Chadwick & Trevor Brown added another win for the home side beating David Quadling & Richard Broad 14-3.
