Results across Norfolk's winter season leagues

Bradwell Dynamos moved top of the Coastal League table with a maximum 18-0 points win at home to Gorleston Links Blue and a 13-5 away win at Gorleston Links Red. Woodbastwick Owls are now second just three points behind but have what could be a crucial game in hand on the new leaders. Third placed Woodbastwick Eagles won 15-3 at home to Bradwell Robins. In the Bure League East Tuddenham scored a maximum 10-0 away win at Hevingham where Robert Howlett & Simon Willies skipped their triples to big wins. The other two games went down to the last bowls with Robin Amos beating David Sharpe 14-11 and Chris Willies winning 13-12 against Selwyn Goldsmith. Thorpe Marriott won 6-4 at home to Horsford BC with four close games. Gary Gray, Lydia Kettlewell & Derek Sheldrake made the difference with a 16-10 win. Breckland League action saw leaders Wymondham recording another huge home win. They beat Thetford 10-0 on points and 129-24 on shots as they dominated proceedings. The nights biggest win was a 39-1 result for David Chadwick, Melvyn Barker & AJ Brown while Steve Easter, Trevor Brown & Jon Sparham won by 38-3. In their previous match Wymondham won 8-2 at Hingham where Jack Pye’s triple won 25-1. Hingham’s two points were earned by Will Townsend’s triple who beat Jon Sparham’s triple 13-12. In their Waveney Knock-out Cup match, played over two legs, Wortwell beat Broome. Forncett achieved a maximum 10-0 away win at Connaught in the South Norfolk League with the Humphreys-Coleman-Humphreys triple winning 21-5. League leaders Hempnall are eleven points clear after an 8-2 home win against Horsford with Owen Cranston’s triple winning 25-9.
