The Summer League's Mike Smail has announced that a triples competition will take place at Thorpe Marriott Village Hall on Sunday 27th August. The Summer Cup Open Competition will offer cash prizes for those triples finishing in the first four places in the main competition and the Summer Cup will be awarded to the club that the winning triple belongs to. Entries will be restricted to sixteen triples with the four remaining Summer League clubs, Halvergate, Forncett, Thorpe Marriott & First Bus, given the first opportunity of entering triples. The remaining places will then be allocated to triples from other NCSMBA clubs who wish to enter the competition. The competition will start with a round robin series of group games played over eight ends. The winners of each group will go forward to a quarter-final followed by semi-finals and final. The runners-up from each group will go forward to a plate quarter-final followed by a semi-fianl and final. The entry fee is £5 per player. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available, please bring your own lunch. There will be cake in the afternoon. Mike would like the four member clubs to let him know the number of triples they are entering as soon as possible.
