British Isles Top Team event set for Norfolk

The British Isles Top Team Championships 2017, with I.C.C Champions West Mids hosting, will be held in Norfolk at Hingham Sports & Social Club on Saturday 2nd December & Sunday 3rd December after a request from West Mids S.M.B.A to the Norfolk C.S.M.B.A was accepted at a N.C.S.M.B.A Management Committee meeting. Norfolk Chairman Selwyn Goldsmith said that the N.C.S.M.B.A would be happy to arrange the booking of the venue on behalf of the West Mids S.M.B.A as Norfolk were always willing to assist fellow County Associations whenever possible. The event will give local short mat bowlers the opportunity to see the Irish champions Oriel, Welsh champions Pembrokeshire & English champions West Mids in action over the weekend at the event that Norfolk represented England in last year at Tenby in Wales. With fast Verde mats on a hard floor, and good viewing facilities from the first floor balcony surrounding the sports hall, Hingham Sports & Social Club is seen as a great venue for this major competition. Lunch catering for players and guests, as well as the provision of teas & coffees, is being handled through the Norfolk Over 60’s Organiser Teresa Goldsmith while the Hingham Sports & Social Club bar has agreed to a request from the NCSMBA for extended opening times throughout that weekend. Further information for spectators, including the opportunity to order lunches, will be made available later.
